Future city project to match global hubs, says CM Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: A Revanth Reddy said the Future city project would be developed on par with Singapore, Tokyo and New York, while assuring farmers of fair compensation for acquired land.
He laid the foundation stone for the Future City Police Commissionerate and said the government would safeguard farmers’ interests. Moreover, he directed officials to conduct gram sabhas before including villages within the commissionerate limits, based on residents’ consent.
The Chief Minister said the Future City Development Corporation office would open by June 2. He added that the state would support displaced farmers and address grievances through dedicated mechanisms. Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu would remain accessible to resolve local issues, he said.
He also noted that earlier opposition to the Outer Ring Road had proven unfounded, as it later became a key infrastructure asset. Therefore, he urged people to support the Future city project as a long-term investment in growth.
Future city project to boost connectivity and investments
Revanth Reddy said three bullet train proposals linked to Hyderabad had been cleared, out of seven sanctioned nationwide. These include routes connecting Bengaluru–Hyderabad, Shamshabad–Pune, and Shamshabad–Amaravati–Chennai. He said such connectivity would transform Rangareddy district into a major growth hub and attract global investments.
At the same time, he criticised Bharat Rashtra Samithi leaders for opposing the project. He alleged they were spreading misinformation and dismissed their criticism as irresponsible.
The Chief Minister also made an appeal to Maoists to surrender and join the mainstream. He said the government was ready to provide rehabilitation, healthcare and security assurances.
