KTR blames CM Revanth for youth’s death over BC reservations issue

BC reservations

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s “betrayal and policy reversal” on the BC reservations issue led to the death of youth Sri Sai Eshwar.

KTR said the government had promised 42 percent reservations for BC communities ahead of local body elections. However, it reduced the quota to 17 percent without warning. He argued that this sudden shift caused deep disappointment among BC youth and pushed Eshwar into taking an extreme step. He described the incident as a grave injustice to backward communities.

He claimed the tragedy resulted from what he called the Congress government’s misguided decisions. According to him, the incident cannot be viewed as a simple suicide but should be seen as a “political killing.” KTR demanded that both CM Revanth Reddy and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accept responsibility for the youth’s death.

KTR demands aid for family amid BC reservations issue row

KTR said the government failed to act on caste census promises, BC surveys, and related government orders. He added that the assurances given during the elections now appear to be mere political theatrics.

He urged the state to provide at least ₹50 lakh as financial assistance to Eshwar’s family and offer full support to them during the crisis.
