Fake doctors nabbed as Cyberabad Police raid 10 clinics
Hyderabad: Fake doctors nabbed in a coordinated Cyberabad Police operation after teams raided 10 clinics across Medchal and Sangareddy districts. The accused allegedly practised medicine without valid medical qualifications or credentials, police said.
The operation involved SOT Cyberabad’s Quthbullapur and RC Puram Zonal Teams. Meanwhile, concerned police stations and DM & HO teams joined the raids at the suspected clinics.
Police said the accused treated patients despite lacking recognised medical credentials. Some allegedly treated children and admitted patients at facilities with beds.
In addition, the teams found that the accused administered IV fluids and saline to patients. Police said such practices created serious risks to public health.
The raids followed credible information about the clinics and their operations. Subsequently, the police teams conducted coordinated searches across the two districts.
Officials seized several items during the operation. These included stethoscopes, BP machines, thermometers and pulse oximeters.
The teams also recovered weighing machines and sugar-check machines from the premises. Prescription books, syringes, saline bottles and saline stands were among the other seized items.
Police also found expired medicines during the raids. The seizure provided evidence of the medical activities allegedly carried out at the clinics.
Cases were registered across eight police station jurisdictions following the operation. Medchal and Patancheru recorded two cases each, while six other areas recorded one case each.

The registered cases covered Medchal, Patancheru, Pet Basheerabad, Jagadgirigutta, Suraram, Bachupally, RC Puram and IDA Bollaram. Medchal recorded two cases, while Patancheru also recorded two cases.
Pet Basheerabad, Jagadgirigutta, Suraram, Bachupally, RC Puram and IDA Bollaram each recorded one case. Together, the police action resulted in 10 arrests linked to the suspected clinics.
The operation took place under the directions of Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Dr. M. Ramesh, IPS. Sri P. Shobhan Kumar, DCP, SOT, Cyberabad, closely supervised the coordinated action.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner appreciated the teams involved in the operation. He recognised the efforts of Sri T. Govardhan, Addl. DCP, SOT-I, and Sri A. Vishwa Prasad, Addl. DCP, SOT-II.
Sri P. Satish, Inspector, SOT RC Puram, and Sri K. Narsimha, Inspector, SOT Quthbullapur, also received appreciation. The concerned SHOs and all SOT officers and staff were recognised for their coordinated efforts.
Sri N. Koti Reddy, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Quthbullapur Zone, Cyberabad, was also associated with the operation. Police said the action focused on clinics allegedly operating without valid medical credentials.
The operation highlighted the risks posed by unqualified persons treating patients in clinical settings. Authorities seized medical equipment, medicines and records while registering cases against the 10 accused.
