Manda Krishna meeting with Telangana DGP

Hyderabad: MRPS founder-president and Padma Shri awardee Manda Krishna Madiga met Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand and congratulated him on assuming charge as the state’s new police chief.

The meeting took place at the DGP Office in Hyderabad. During the interaction, Manda Krishna Madiga presented a bouquet and draped a shawl over C.V. Anand as a mark of respect and extended his best wishes for his tenure as Telangana DGP.

Speaking on the occasion, Manda Krishna Madiga said the appointment of C.V. Anand, an officer with vast experience in the police department, as the state’s DGP was a positive development. He expressed confidence that the officer would continue to serve the people effectively in his new role.

The leaders also exchanged views on past interactions and developments connected with public movements in the state.

Manda Krishna meeting recalls MRPS movement days

During the discussion, C.V. Anand recalled his tenure as a police officer at the Basheerbagh crossroads when the first phase of the MRPS movement was underway. The recollection highlighted the long-standing association between public movements and law enforcement in Telangana.

The meeting was attended by MRPS state president Dr Govindu Naresh Madiga, MSP national leader Tipparapu Laxman Madiga, noted lyricist and Nandi Award recipient Mittapalli Surender, film director Prem Raju, MSF state secretary Bairapogu Shiva Kumar Madiga and other leaders.

The gathering concluded with participants conveying their best wishes to the new DGP and expressing hope for continued cooperation between community organisations and the police department.
