KPHB spa raids: Police detain 20 in crackdown

Hyderabad: Police conducted KPHB spa raids on two spa centres within the KPHB police station limits and detained 20 people after detecting several violations, Inspector Rajasekhar Reddy said.

Police received credible information about suspected illegal activities at the establishments. Acting on the inputs, teams carried out surprise inspections at the two spa centres in the area.

During the operation, officers found several irregularities and violations of operating rules. They then detained 20 individuals present at the locations. Later, police shifted them to the station for further questioning.

Inspector Rajasekhar Reddy said police registered two separate cases against the spa centres. Authorities booked the cases for running operations in violation of regulations.

Violations found during KPHB spa raids

Police carried out the KPHB spa raids as part of ongoing enforcement against illegal activities operating under the guise of spa and wellness centres.

Officials said police will continue strict monitoring within the KPHB police station limits. They also warned that anyone running illegal operations or violating licensing rules will face legal action.

Police took the detained individuals to the station for inquiry. Investigators are now examining the extent of violations. They are also checking whether the centres had operated illegally for a long period.

Inspector Rajasekhar Reddy also warned spa centre operators to strictly follow the rules. He added that police will take firm action if any centre violates the law.
