Community Contact Program held in Lallaguda police limits
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police conducted a Community Contact Program in the Lallaguda police station limits on June 29, combining a cordon-and-search operation with public outreach to strengthen law and order in the area. The drive was carried out under the supervision of Secunderabad Zone DCP Rakshitha Krishna Murthy.
The operation covered Mangaru Basti in the Addagutta area and involved Additional DCP Narsaiah, ACPs K. Shashank Reddy, Yadagiri and Sridhar, Inspector T. Ashok Kumar, around 150 police personnel, the Clues Team and Traffic Police staff. Moreover, police seized 24 vehicles that lacked valid documents or were found under suspicious circumstances.
During the operation, officers also confiscated 15 liquor bottles allegedly kept in violation of the rules. In addition, they verified five rowdy sheeters and 10 suspects before counselling them as part of preventive policing measures.
Community Contact Program focuses on public safety
DCP Rakshitha Krishna Murthy interacted with residents of Mangaru Basti and Addagutta to understand their grievances and local security concerns. Furthermore, she urged citizens to remain vigilant and immediately report suspicious activities to the police.
The DCP also encouraged residents to install CCTV cameras to improve neighbourhood security and assist investigations whenever required. Police said the programme aimed to strengthen community participation while preventing crime through regular public engagement.
