Hyderabad: Chaderghat Police carried out a destitute persons rescue operation and shifted five men found in vulnerable conditions to a shelter home for care and protection.

The incident occurred on April 29, 2026, when patrolling staff received information about unidentified persons staying on a footpath near Malakpet Gunj Market. Acting swiftly, the police team reached the spot and identified five individuals, including Venu Gopal (46), Narsimha (60), Krishna (70), Bharath Chetri (35) and Anil (35).

Officials said the men were living without proper food, shelter or support. Therefore, the police provided immediate assistance on humanitarian grounds before arranging their relocation.

The destitute persons rescue effort ensured that all five individuals were shifted to a recognised shelter home for safe custody and proper care. Police said the move aimed to restore dignity and provide essential support services to the vulnerable group.
