‘Arrive–Alive’ road safety programme held in Madhapur police limits

Arrive–Alive programme held by Madhapur police

Hyderabad: As part of Road Safety Month celebrations, the Madhapur police on Tuesday organised the ‘Arrive–Alive’ programme to create awareness among road users about the importance of following traffic rules.

Addressing the programme as chief guest, Madhapur ACP Sridhar said road safety was a shared responsibility and urged citizens to strictly adhere to traffic regulations to prevent accidents. He said negligence on roads was leading to serious loss of life and causing immense hardship to families.

The ACP emphasised that every citizen should ensure safe travel and reach home safely. He advised motorists to avoid risky behaviour while driving and to respect traffic rules at all times.

He pointed out that talking on mobile phones while driving, drunken driving, wrong-side driving, signal jumping, and not wearing helmets were among the major causes of road accidents. He also cautioned that even wearing a helmet without fastening the strap properly could result in fatal injuries during accidents.

Arrive–Alive programme focuses on accident prevention

Police officials said the Arrive–Alive programme aimed to sensitise the public on preventing road accidents through responsible behaviour. They reiterated that strict compliance with traffic rules could significantly reduce fatalities and injuries on city roads.

The programme was attended by Madhapur Inspector Krishna Mohan, Detective Inspector Vijay Naik, traffic police personnel, and other officials.
