Three houses fire destroys property worth ₹9.5 lakh in Vikarabad
Hyderabad: A Vikarabad house fire destroyed three adjacent houses in Mallemoniguda village under Parigi municipal limits, causing property damage estimated at around ₹9.5 lakh, officials said.
The fire broke out on Wednesday when residents of the houses had gone to work in nearby agricultural fields. The affected houses belonged to Rasul B, Bashir B, and MD. Maulana, whose homes were located next to each other in the village. Villagers noticed flames spreading rapidly and immediately alerted the fire brigade.
Firefighters rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control. However, by the time the fire was extinguished, significant damage had already occurred across all three houses.
Household articles including nine bags of rice, a cooler, a washing machine, ceiling fans, clothes, and important documents were reduced to ashes. Two goats also died in the fire, adding to the losses suffered by the families.
Vikarabad house fire leaves families with heavy losses
Officials who inspected the site said the Vikarabad house fire had destroyed most daily-use items, leaving the affected families without basic necessities. The total value of the damaged property was assessed at approximately ₹9.5 lakh.
Local authorities said they were examining the cause of the fire, while villagers extended immediate support to the families. Residents urged the administration to provide relief and assistance to help them recover from the losses.
