Ponnam Prabhakar reviews GHMC development works with mayor, deputy mayor
Hyderabad: District in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar reviewed the progress of GHMC development works, including H-City initiatives and the Strategic Road Development Programme, at the GHMC head office on Tuesday.
The review meeting was attended by Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and Deputy Mayor Srilatha Shobhan Reddy, who discussed the status of key civic infrastructure projects across the city.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar examined timelines, execution challenges, and inter-departmental coordination related to major urban development works being undertaken by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. He stressed the need for timely completion and quality standards to improve civic services.
Officials briefed the minister on road infrastructure upgrades, flyover-related works under SRDP, and other city-level projects aimed at easing traffic congestion and enhancing urban mobility.
GHMC development works reviewed with senior officials
GHMC Commissioner R. V. Karnan was present at the meeting along with additional commissioners, zonal commissioners, deputy commissioners, and senior officials from various departments.
The minister directed officials to closely monitor project execution and ensure coordination among departments to avoid delays. He said periodic reviews would continue to track progress and address bottlenecks in GHMC development works.
