Golconda police mobilization drill held in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A Golconda police mobilization drill was conducted at the Hockey Grounds in Masab Tank under the supervision of DCP Golconda Zone G. Chandra Mohan to test the emergency response and rapid deployment capabilities of the police force.

The midnight exercise was organised as part of efforts to strengthen law and order preparedness. The drill followed instructions issued by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar to improve the readiness of the city police during emergencies.

Around 650 personnel took part in the exercise. The participants ranged from Home Guards to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)-rank officers from all police stations under the Golconda Zone.

During the mock exercise, officials tested how quickly police personnel could mobilise and reach a designated location in case of an emergency or untoward incident. The activity focused on ensuring that officers and staff respond without delay and operate in a coordinated manner.

Police also reviewed how personnel at different levels coordinate during critical situations. Officers explained the responsibilities of each unit, from Home Guards to ACPs, and emphasised the need to follow instructions issued through zonal control systems.

During the Golconda police mobilization drill, officials also checked the availability and functioning of equipment required during emergencies. These included public address systems, riot control gear and other operational materials.

DCP G. Chandra Mohan personally inspected the arrangements and assessed the alertness of police personnel deployed at key locations around the Hockey Grounds during the midnight hours.

Speaking on the occasion, the DCP said public safety remains the primary responsibility of the police. He stated that forces must be ready to mobilise quickly during critical situations at any time.

He added that such exercises improve the preparedness of the police force and help ensure a prompt response during emergencies. The officer also appreciated the efforts of Golconda Zone police personnel in maintaining law and order and encouraged them to continue meeting the expectations of senior officers and the public.
