Attapur motorcycle theft case solved, two held

Hyderabad: Attapur Police arrested two habitual offenders in the Attapur motorcycle theft case and recovered five stolen two-wheelers, including a Royal Enfield Himalayan stolen from Shivarampally. Police said two other accused involved in the organised vehicle theft racket remain absconding.

The arrested accused were identified as Mohammad Shahnawaz alias Shanu, 18, and Mohd. Moiz Mohiuddin, 18. Police said Noor and Farhan, the other two suspects, are absconding, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest them.

According to the investigation, the complainant, K. Narasimha, parked his Royal Enfield Himalayan near his restaurant at Pillar No. 295 in Shivarampally during the early hours of June 25. The accused allegedly noticed the unattended motorcycle, stole it with the help of a previously stolen Honda Activa and later concealed it for disposal.

Investigators established the involvement of all four accused during the probe. Consequently, officers apprehended the two arrested suspects and recovered the stolen Royal Enfield motorcycle along with four other stolen two-wheelers linked to separate theft cases registered at Begum Bazar and Mailardevpally police stations.
