Telangana heavy rain alert for Hyderabad districts

Hyderabad: The Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGiCCC) issued a heavy rain alert, warning that isolated places in Hyderabad and eight other districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall during the next 24 hours. The advisory has been issued under a Yellow Watch, urging residents to remain cautious.

The districts covered by the alert are Adilabad, Hyderabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mahabubnagar, Mancherial, Medchal Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy and Vikarabad. Moreover, authorities advised people to follow official safety guidelines during periods of heavy rain.

Rainfall activity is expected to continue as monsoon conditions remain active over Telangana. Consequently, residents in low-lying areas should stay alert for waterlogging and possible traffic disruptions, while commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly.

Heavy rain alert covers key districts

The warning comes as weather agencies forecast widespread rain and thunderstorms across the state over the next few days. Furthermore, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely at isolated places across Telangana.

Officials have urged the public to monitor updates from TGiCCC and the India Meteorological Department and avoid unnecessary travel during intense spells of rain. Emergency responders remain on alert to address weather-related incidents.
