Godavari Pushkaram arrangements ordered by Chief Secretary

Godavari Pushkaram arrangements review held

Hyderabad: The Chief Secretary directed officials to expedite Godavari Pushkaram arrangements to ensure smooth facilities for devotees across Telangana.

During a review meeting at the Secretariat, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao instructed departments to make extensive preparations, as large crowds are expected for the holy dip in the Godavari river.

He said the river flows across eight districts, from Kandakurthi to Bhadrachalam via Basara, and arrangements must be made on a large scale in all these locations. Officials were asked to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the event.

The Chief Secretary noted that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had already issued directions on Pushkaram preparations. He instructed officials to prepare detailed proposals and submit them to the Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted for the event.
