TPCC Warns KTR Over Remarks on Rahul Gandhi

TPCC Says KTR Must Apologise to Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad: TPCC official spokesperson Bandi Sudhakar Goud on Wednesday issued a strong warning to K. T. Rama Rao, demanding an unconditional apology to Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

While addressing the media, Bandi Sudhakar Goud condemned KTR’s remarks and described them as derogatory and irresponsible. According to him, those comments clearly showed the frustration within the BRS following its political decline.

Demand for apology intensifies

Recalling the Telangana statehood movement, Bandi Sudhakar Goud said the state was formed solely due to the sacrifice of Sonia Gandhi. He questioned whether KTR would even hold political relevance if Telangana had not been created.

Moreover, he stated that the Congress government handed over a surplus budget in 2014. However, he alleged that the BRS regime pushed the state into deep debt during its ten-year rule.

Additionally, he accused the previous government of misusing public funds. He claimed unpaid contractor bills worth ₹60,000 crore were now being cleared by the Congress government, which, he said, exposed BRS mismanagement.

Congress counters BRS criticism

Meanwhile, Bandi Sudhakar Goud said the present Congress government is fulfilling core Telangana movement promises related to funds, water, and jobs. He added that the government is also implementing six guarantees.

Furthermore, he dismissed BRS criticism over Krishna river water sharing. He argued that the earlier government failed to take firm decisions when it had the opportunity.

He also ridiculed BRS leaders for avoiding Assembly debates. At the same time, he pointed to internal contradictions, citing allegations raised by Kavitha Kalvakuntla against members of her own family.

Finally, he warned that if KTR fails to apologise, Congress workers will obstruct him publicly and expose what he described as major scams.
