CM Revanth Reddy to review secretaries’ performance every three months
Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that he will review secretaries’ performance every three months to improve coordination and accountability across the Telangana administration.
Speaking at a high-level meeting with department secretaries at the Secretariat, Reddy said effective governance requires strong cooperation between officials. He warned that poor inter-departmental coordination would block policy outcomes and slow development.
The Chief Minister instructed secretaries to submit monthly reports to the Chief Secretary. These reports will be compiled and assessed in a quarterly review that he will personally conduct. He clarified that the new system aims to increase responsiveness, prevent delays, and align departments with the government’s development goals.
Vision 2047 strategy aligns departments under unified goals
Marking two years of public governance, Reddy said the state had made key progress and created a clear future roadmap. However, he noted that past governments lacked cohesive policies, especially in sectors like power, health, education, and irrigation. These gaps, according to him, caused repeated setbacks.
To address this, the state has now rolled out focused policy frameworks for all major sectors. Reddy said the administration is working with a long-term vision through the Telangana Rising–2047 strategy. He explained that this plan divides development into “Cure” (health), “Pure” (environment), and “Rare” (innovation) categories. This helps departments target results through structured planning.
He stressed that cooperation among officials is essential for large-scale project execution. A strong coordination mechanism, he said, will ensure that departments stay aligned and deliver on time. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
