CM launches ₹260 cr Adilabad development projects

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday launched ₹260.45 crore worth of Adilabad development works under the ‘Praja Palana – Praja Vijayotsavalu’ initiative.

He laid foundation stones for key projects that target urban infrastructure, education, women’s empowerment, police housing and reliable power supply. Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Dr. Danam Vivek joined the event, along with advisor P. Sudarshan Reddy and local MLAs.

The biggest project among these is a ₹200 crore Young India Integrated Residential School (YIIRS) campus planned inside Adilabad town.

Revanth Reddy announced ₹18.7 crore for the comprehensive development of 49 municipal wards. Additionally, under the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme, the government will help self-help groups open a ₹1.75 crore petrol pump.

To support rural women further, he approved ₹19.69 crore in loans for 160 SHGs. This, he said, would boost financial independence and self-employment.

He also committed ₹2 crore to upgrade classrooms and facilities at government schools in Mahalakshmiwada and Vidyanagar.

Focusing on law and order, the CM inaugurated 18 new police quarters in Sanjay Nagar worth ₹11.93 crore. He also launched quarters for three intelligence units costing ₹2.6 crore, along with a ₹2 crore Bharosa Centre to support vulnerable groups.

To strengthen power infrastructure, he flagged off a new 33/11 KV substation near the collectorate. Built by TGNPDCL, it will cost ₹231.24 lakh and aims to ensure uninterrupted electricity.
