Revanth Reddy announces 40,000 more Telangana government jobs
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday said the Telangana government would recruit another 40,000 people for public sector jobs, taking total appointments to 1 lakh before the Congress government completes two-and-a-half years in office.
Addressing a public meeting in Husnabad after laying foundation stones for development works worth ₹262 crore, Revanth recalled that the Congress party—drawing inspiration from the sacrifice of Srikanth Chari—had already filled 60,000 jobs in its first year. He assured the gathering that Telangana’s youth would continue to gain from a large, merit-based recruitment drive.
The Chief Minister also said Telangana now leads the country in paddy production. He added that the current administration has proved that agriculture can drive prosperity, not become a burden. The state, he claimed, has spent over ₹1 lakh crore on farmer welfare so far.

CM slams BRS projects, promises Husnabad development
Revanth criticised the quality of BRS-era projects such as Kaleshwaram and drew a contrast with Congress-era works like SRSP. He promised to complete the long-pending Gouravelli Project in Husnabad, saying the previous government had neglected it.
Highlighting welfare measures, he said the government has issued bus ownership documents in women’s names. He added that 3.1 crore people are receiving superfine rice and the state has allocated ₹22,500 crore for housing for the economically weaker sections.

Urging residents to elect cooperative village heads, the Chief Minister cautioned them against choosing divisive or irresponsible sarpanches, saying such choices could block development funds. He said he would secure maximum central funding for villages, even if it required a direct fight with the Centre.
