Revanth Reddy says Congress will rule Telangana for next 10 years
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday said the Congress would continue to rule the state under his leadership for the next 10 years, stating that people trust its policies and governance model.
After meeting the Prime Minister and Union ministers in Delhi, Revanth spoke to the media and defended his recent comments made at the DCC presidents’ meeting. He said the opposition distorted his remarks on social media. His comparison of Congress to an inclusive structure, similar to Hindu society with multiple deities, was edited and taken out of context to create controversy.
The Chief Minister said his internal speech focused on Congress’s inclusive philosophy and strong organisational strategy. He accused BJP leaders of attempting to derail Telangana’s development, even as they failed to secure deposits in constituencies such as Jubilee Hills.

Revanth Reddy added that if opposition propaganda increases his visibility in North India, he accepts it with sarcasm. He said the BJP’s criticism lacked substance, especially when people continued to support Congress’s development agenda.
Reiterating his party’s long-term plans, the Chief Minister said Congress rule would stay in Telangana for the foreseeable future.
