State development welfare is government’s priority: Gaddam Vivek

Hyderabad: The State government has placed development and welfare at the core of its policies, said Labour, Employment and Training, Factories, Mines and Geology Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy on Wednesday. He said the government designs and implements programmes by keeping public needs as the top priority.

The minister, along with Kumar Deepak, Mancherial District Collector, and Raju, Kyathanpally Municipal Commissioner, laid foundation stones for new projects. They also inaugurated completed works within Kyathanpally Municipality limits.

Addressing the gathering, Vivek Venkatswamy said the government is executing welfare and infrastructure projects efficiently across the State.

He assured residents that officials will relocate hazardous electric poles, power lines, and transformers soon. He said the move will help prevent accidents in several municipal wards. Under the AMRUT scheme, the government sanctioned ₹40 crore to Kyathanpally Municipality. Officials have already completed nearly half of the works. The remaining projects are progressing to provide tap water connections to every household.

State development welfare drives urban works in Kyathanpally

The minister said the government is strengthening public hospitals by appointing more doctors and staff. He said this step will improve healthcare services. He added that officials identified and issued ration cards pending for nearly 10 years to eligible poor families. The government is also supplying fine rice every month through the Public Distribution System. From next month, eligible beneficiaries will receive pension benefits.

Vivek Venkatswamy said the government sanctioned ₹15 crore under urban development funds for municipal works. He added that authorities will also use District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for public welfare projects.

The inaugurated and launched works included road, drainage, and civic infrastructure projects across several wards. Individual project costs ranged from ₹15 lakh to ₹1.24 crore. The minister also inaugurated a lighting system on the Railway Over Bridge. The project cost ₹57 lakh and used DMFT funds to improve public safety.

The minister said the government will ensure comprehensive development in every area of the Chennur Assembly constituency. He said officials will provide all basic facilities so residents do not face inconvenience. Officials from various departments and public representatives attended the programme.
