Hyderabad: Congress senior leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Thursday said that the Congress government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had restored people’s confidence. He stated the government achieved this by implementing welfare-oriented and inclusive policies in a short time. The Congress government inclusive policies were the focus of his remarks. He spoke during a door-to-door campaign in the Erragadda division of Jubilee Hills, campaigning with Minister Jupally Krishna Rao for Congress candidate Naveen Yadav.
Shabbir Ali asserted that the Congress government had shown a commitment to equality and representation for all sections. “The Congress government’s actions reflect delivery, not deception,” he remarked. The advisor highlighted the appointment of several qualified members from minority communities to responsible positions. For instance, these included a Muslim Additional Advocate General, government pleaders, and Dr Amir Ullah Khan’s appointment to the Telangana State Public Service Commission. He said these appointments underscored the sincerity of the Congress government inclusive policies. Shabbir Ali also stated that thousands of minority youth, under the BC-E category, benefitted from recent government recruitment drives.
He further detailed the government’s educational initiatives. The administration sanctioned one Minority Law College and two Pharmacy Colleges. It also added 2,200 new engineering seats in minority institutions. In the latest DSC recruitment drive for 10,006 posts, 720 candidates were from minority communities. Shabbir Ali described this as “clear evidence of inclusive opportunity.” He added that the government is working for people, not headlines, and implementing schemes without discrimination.
Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, also campaigning, said the Congress party was rebuilding Telangana on principles of justice and equality. He claimed these principles had been weakened under the previous government. He appealed to Jubilee Hills residents to support Naveen Yadav. During the campaign, leaders interacted with residents and distributed brochures detailing the government’s achievements. Shabbir Ali reiterated that the government’s efforts proved “Congress delivers on its promises – not just in words, but through visible action.”
