National-level youth fest ‘Metha-2026’ held at Trinity Engineering College
Hyderabad: Founder Chairman of Trinity Educational Institutions, Dasari Manohar Reddy, on Friday urged students to build skills across disciplines to succeed in a competitive global environment.
He addressed students at a national-level youth fest held at Trinity Engineering College.
National youth fest draws wide participation
The youth festival, titled Metha-2026, took place at the college campus in Bommakkal, Karimnagar. Notably, around 2,300 students from several states participated. They competed in 25 formal and informal events.
Meanwhile, popular entertainer Venky inaugurated the fest along with Trinity Chairman Dasari Prashanth Reddy.
Focus on skills beyond academics
Speaking on the occasion, Manohar Reddy highlighted the need for professional and communication skills. According to him, academic knowledge alone no longer guarantees success. Therefore, he advised students to adapt continuously to global changes.
Furthermore, he described the world as a global village. He encouraged students to prepare for international opportunities through creativity and innovation.
Creativity and leadership take centre stage
Meanwhile, Venky entertained students with skits and interactive sessions. As a result, the programme generated high energy and strong engagement.
Organisers explained that the events aimed to build creativity, teamwork, leadership, and confidence. At the same time, they sought to encourage healthy competition among participants.
Faculty and officials attend programme
Several academic leaders attended the event. These included Principal Nagendra Singh, Academic Director B. Rajagopal, Vice Principal P. Kishore, Administrative Officer Rajasekhara Reddy, MBA HOD Praveen Kumar, faculty members, and students.
Finally, organisers said the youth fest offered a national platform for students to showcase talent beyond academics. They added that the event also promoted cultural and intellectual exchange across states.
