Mahabubnagar development works launched by Komatireddy

Hyderabad: Development works in Mahabubnagar picked up pace on Wednesday. Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Minister V Sri Hari laid foundation stones for new projects. They also inaugurated completed works at Bhutpur in Mahabubnagar.

Addressing the gathering, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda once lagged behind in development. He said both districts now show steady progress. He credited the growth to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who hails from the region.

The minister said the government launched development works worth ₹60 crore across three municipalities in a single day. He added that the government sanctioned ₹140 crore for a ghat road to the Kurumurthy Swamy Temple.

Mahabubnagar development works under Congress government

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy criticised former Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrashekar Rao. He said claims of 90 per cent completion of the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project were false.

He alleged that Chandrashekar Rao ignored South Telangana and said this neglect reflected in the party winning only three Assembly seats in the region.

The minister further claimed that the BRS failed to secure deposits in the recent parliamentary elections. He said the government would hold municipal elections within 20 days. He added that Zilla Parishad elections would follow soon and  urged people to support the Indian National Congress in both polls.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy works continuously for public welfare. He contrasted this with the former Chief Minister, who rarely met the public. Bhutpur MLA G Madhusudan Reddy and other public representatives attended the programme.
