BRS condemned alleged political vendetta against KCR by Revanth Reddy government
Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi strongly condemned what it described as a political vendetta against K. Chandrashekar Rao, accusing the Revanth Reddy-led government of targeting the former chief minister to divert attention from governance failures.
Party leaders said KCR, whom they described as the architect of the Telangana statehood movement, symbolised the self-respect and aspirations of the people of Telangana. They alleged that attempts to malign such a leader reflected political hostility rather than accountability.
The BRS said KCR had fulfilled the dream of a separate state and led Telangana for a decade, placing it among the country’s top-performing states. It argued that efforts to “throw mud” at him were futile and amounted to undermining a widely respected political legacy.
Political vendetta against KCR meant to deflect from failures, says BRS
The party alleged that the issuance of notices in the name of a Special Investigation Team was aimed at shifting public focus away from administrative failures and allegations linked to the Singareni Collieries Company. It termed the move the height of what it called cheap and diversionary politics.
BRS leaders further claimed that the ruling party believed such political pressure could yield electoral gains in upcoming municipal elections. They said this assumption exposed political desperation and a lack of confidence in governance performance.
Warning that power was not permanent, the party asserted that public anger was growing and that the people of Telangana stood firmly with KCR. It said political intimidation would not deter the opposition and that voters would respond at the appropriate time.
