BRS chief KCR celebrates Sankranthi with family
Hyderabad: BRS chief and Telangana’s first Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao celebrated Sankranthi with his family at his residence in Erravelli, spending the festival day with close relatives.
KCR marked the harvest festival in a traditional and private setting at his farmhouse in Erravelli. His wife Shobhamma, son and senior BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao, daughter-in-law Shailima, along with his grandson and granddaughter, joined the KCR Sankranthi celebrations.
The family spent time together as part of the customary festivities associated with Sankranthi. The occasion was observed as a personal family gathering, without any political engagements or public events scheduled during the celebrations.

The KCR Sankranthi celebrations took place at the Erravelli residence, which has often served as the former Chief Minister’s retreat during festivals and family occasions. KCR, who led the movement for Telangana statehood and later served as its first Chief Minister, chose to observe the festival quietly with family members.
