Bogus voting charges escalate political tensions in Jubilee Hills

bogus voting

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Sravan Dasoju intensified criticism against the Congress government, alleging that bogus voting took place during the recent by-election in the Jubilee Hills constituency. He said the irregularities pointed to direct involvement of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and reflected a serious challenge to electoral fairness. He shared his comments on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He said the bypoll witnessed systematic malpractice that damaged public confidence in the electoral process. He described the incident as a deliberate attempt to influence the outcome and said it raised broader concerns about administrative supervision during the election.

Congress questioned over bogus voting allegations

Sravan targeted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, referring to his recent remarks on electoral fraud in Bihar. He said Gandhi could not comment on vote tampering elsewhere while his own party allegedly engaged in bogus voting in Telangana. He said the contrast exposed contradictions within the Congress leadership.

He demanded a clear response from Gandhi and insisted that the Congress address issues within its own organisation before criticising other states. He said the episode amounted to an insult to the voters of Telangana and urged the party to ensure accountability for those involved.
