Rajanna Sircilla pension error: Woman declared dead while alive
Hyderabad: A serious Rajanna Sircilla pension error came to light after officials wrongly recorded a living woman as dead, leaving her without access to government pension benefits.
The incident occurred in Nizamabad village of Konaraopet mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district. The victim, Madasu Narsavva, lost her husband Narsaiah eight years ago. However, when officials updated records, they mistakenly entered her name as deceased instead of her husband.
As a result, when Narsavva recently approached the mandal parishad office to apply for her late husband’s pension, authorities rejected her application. They cited official records showing that she had already died.
The elderly woman expressed shock and distress over the situation. Despite submitting proof that she is alive, she said officials failed to correct the error or process her request.
Rajanna Sircilla pension error leaves woman without support
Narsavva said she has been visiting government offices repeatedly, seeking justice and correction of the records. Meanwhile, advancing age and financial hardship have worsened her condition.
She added that the pension could have provided crucial support after her husband’s death. Instead, due to the Rajanna Sircilla pension error, she has been left without any assistance.
The victim urged district Collector Garima Agarwal to intervene and rectify the mistake. She appealed to authorities to update official records and ensure she receives the pension she is entitled to.
Officials have yet to respond to her plea, even as the case highlights lapses in record management and verification processes at the local level.
