Chinese manja safety drive held in Kachiguda

Hyderabad: Police and local volunteers organised a Chinese manja safety drive in Kachiguda. During the programme, organisers distributed 300 protective masks to two-wheeler riders. The initiative aimed to prevent accidents caused by banned kite strings.

Local youth Mohammed Karim, also known as Taneesha, led the awareness drive. He said the campaign focused on reducing injuries during the Sankranti season. In particular, it targeted two-wheeler riders, who face a high risk of neck and facial injuries from sharp kite strings.

Meanwhile, Jyotsna, SHO of Kachiguda Police Station, attended the programme as chief guest. She personally distributed masks to commuters. She also warned that Chinese manja continues to harm motorists and birds across the city.
