Keesara robbery case: five arrested by police

Hyderabad: Keesara police arrested five accused in a daylight jewellery shop robbery case after a swift technical probe and eyewitness investigation, police said. The arrests helped prevent further criminal activity in the area.

Police registered the case as Crime No. 05/2026 at Keesara Police Station under Section 309(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The robbery took place on January 2, 2026, at around 5.15 pm at Balaji Jewellery Shop in Nagaram.

According to police, accused A3 and A4 entered the shop first by posing as customers. They assessed the situation and signalled the others. Soon after, A1 and A2 entered the shop armed with an axe and a dummy pistol.

The accused escaped on a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle with gold matees before police reached the spot.
