Secrecy Undermines Social Justice: Dasoju Warns

SEEEPC Survey

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dr. Sravan Dasoju on Saturday warned that social justice initiatives could not survive secrecy and demanded the immediate release of SEEEPC Survey data used for the BC reservation policy.

SEEEPC Survey data disclosure vital for democracy

He said secretive governance weakened public trust and violated statutory and constitutional principles. He stated that the RTI Act was introduced to end opaque governance and ensure accountability.

Dr. Dasoju said withholding survey data directly violated citizens’ right to information. He demanded time-bound directions for disclosure and digital access to the data.

He also sought a formal declaration on transparency in policy-making. Dr. Dasoju said democracy failed when governments broke public trust and expressed confidence in the constitutional role of the State Information Commission.
