Midnight truck accident in Siddipet drags police jeep into fields
Hyderabad: A serious truck accident in Siddipet was narrowly prevented from becoming a tragedy when a fish-laden truck crashed into a parked police jeep at the Jillellagadda checkpoint. Fortunately, no personnel were inside the jeep at the time.
The truck, travelling from Hanumakonda toward Husnabad, lost control after striking the stationary vehicle. The lorry overturned, and the police jeep was dragged nearly 200 metres into agricultural fields due to the force of the impact.
Police launch inquiry following major truck accident in Siddipet
The truck’s driver and cleaner suffered minor injuries and were shifted to a local hospital for treatment. Witnesses alerted police officials, who reached the scene promptly.
Husnabad ACP Sadanandam and CI Srinivas led the recovery operations. A crane was brought in to lift the overturned lorry and remove the jeep from the fields. Traffic on the highway was restored after the wreckage was cleared.
Police registered a case and initiated an investigation into what caused the collision.
