Rachakonda police dismiss 100% traffic challan waiver claim
Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Traffic Police on Thursday dismissed ongoing rumours about a 100% traffic challan waiver in Telangana, calling them completely false.
In an official statement, the department clarified that no such waiver has been announced. It urged the public not to believe social media videos or forwarded messages promoting the claim.
Police confirmed that neither the traffic department nor any Lok Adalat has issued any notification regarding a challan waiver.

Officials warned that misinformation about such waivers could mislead citizens and affect enforcement. They advised the public to rely only on official updates from the police or judiciary.
This clarification came amid widespread videos and messages on platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook, claiming full waiver of pending traffic fines across Telangana.
