Hyderabad real estate is blueprint for India’s future, says Uttam Kumar Reddy
Hyderabad: Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Capt N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday said Hyderabad was no longer just a metro city. Instead, he described it as the blueprint for India’s future. The city is driven by strong real estate growth, rapid infrastructure expansion, and rising global investor interest.
Speaking at the Hyderabad Real Estate Summit 2025, organised by Raj News in partnership with NAREDCO Telangana and the Hyderabad Realtors Association (HRA), the minister outlined how the city’s development had transformed once-ordinary areas into major investment hubs. “Every inch of land in this city is gaining value. Real estate has become the oxygen of Hyderabad,” he said.
Uttam Kumar Reddy recalled that Hyderabad, from the days of unified Andhra Pradesh to the present, had remained the state’s asset capital. He noted that countless migrants had arrived with nothing and later owned properties worth crores. “This city transforms lives,” he said.
Summit aims to shape Hyderabad real estate blueprint
Minister Uttam said Hyderabad’s pace of growth was unmatched in India. He added that the city’s iconic buildings, IT corridors, metro projects, and industrial zones were helping it compete with global urban centres. As a result, Hyderabad was attracting strong investor confidence and long-term bets.
He also acknowledged that development often brings challenges. However, he stressed that progress becomes meaningful when governments and private players work together. “When governments and private players join hands, growth becomes inclusive,” he said, urging stakeholders to maintain ambition and stay focused.
The minister praised Raj News Chairperson Lakshmi Rao for organising the summit and for her continuous support to the real estate sector. He said the summit served not only as a platform for developers and investors but also as a forum. In addition, it was where industry experts, bureaucrats, and public representatives could shape policy.
He added that the Hyderabad Real Estate Summit aimed to guide future development, highlight new opportunities, and strengthen Hyderabad’s position on the global map. “Hyderabad’s past is behind us. It’s the present and future that matter now,” he concluded.
