Collectors told to finish checklists for Telangana local body election
Hyderabad: The State Election Commission pushed districts to wrap up work for the Telangana local body election. The order came on Saturday with firm timelines and simple task lists.
The District Collectors have been asked to upload reservations on T-Poll. Verify entries in the field. Correct gaps quickly.
Voter rolls already sit on the portal for wards, gram panchayats, MPTCs, and ZPTCs. The Panchayat Raj Department issued gazettes on reservations. Teams must add those details and check them again.
MDOs will upload ward data. RDOs will update sarpanch information. ZP CEOs will enter MPTC and ZPTC reservations.
The Collectors will review nomination centres for MPTC and ZPTC. Arrange staff and materials. Mark problematic, highly problematic, and most problematic sites. Then plan webcasting and note the number of micro-observers. They will invite tenders for ballot paper printing without delay. Offset presses should submit sealed quotations by 2 p.m. on the 8th of this month. The Collectorate will open them at 3 p.m. in the presence of ZP CEOs, DPOs, and other officials.
They will post documents and updates on the website. The steps aim to speed up and secure the Telangana local body election.
