Tiger spotted near Bugga outskirts, alert sounded in Mancherial

Hyderabad: A tiger sighting near the outskirts of Bugga triggered panic among residents of Kasipeta and Bellampalli mandals in Mancherial district. Several locals spotted the big cat near the Bugga temple and immediately alerted forest officials. As a result, officials stepped up vigilance in the area.

Soon after receiving the alert, forest department staff began inspections around the Bugga Shiva temple and nearby forest stretches. Officials said the tiger entered the Buggagudem area from Tirumalapur in Kasipeta mandal.

Forest officials said the tiger killed a goat on the outskirts of Buggaguda, which confirmed its presence near villages. Earlier, the animal roamed forest areas between Kasipeta and Tiryani. Now, it has moved closer to human habitations, raising concern among residents.

Officials said they saw the tiger moving behind the Bugga temple. They believe it may have headed towards Madaram. As a precaution, officials issued alerts in suburban villages and Buggagudem gram panchayat. They used drum beating to warn residents.

Authorities advised villagers to stay away from forest areas. They also told people not to take cattle for grazing. Officials asked residents to remain alert until further notice. Meanwhile, forest staff continue to track the tiger’s movement.
