Hyderabad Old City Metro project enters key stage after 550 demolitions
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Old City Metro has entered a key stage. Out of 886 affected properties, 550 have been demolished, and ₹433 crore in compensation has been released.
Metro MD NVS Reddy said road widening is nearly complete on the 7.5 km corridor. Advanced engineering reduced the number of required properties from 1,100 to 886.
Hyderabad Old City Metro begins advanced surveys
DGPS surveys, soil capacity tests, and mapping are underway. Sensitive structures have been identified to protect them during construction.
Utility shifting is in progress with the help of Water Board, GHMC, TGPSPDCL, and BSNL. Preparations for pillar foundations and stations are now moving forward.
