GST reforms 2025 slash taxes to make fitness and mobility affordable

Hyderabad: The government introduced GST reforms 2025 to empower youth and promote healthier lifestyles. The changes cut taxes on key sectors that directly impact fitness and mobility.
Gyms and fitness centres now attract only 5% GST. This will encourage preventive healthcare and help more young professionals access fitness facilities.

Bicycles and parts now carry 5% GST, encouraging eco-friendly transport. Sports goods and toys also moved to 5%, improving access for students and athletes.
GST on two-wheelers up to 350cc has been reduced from 28% to 18%, lowering purchase costs for youth. Small cars also shifted to the 18% slab, benefitting young families and first-time buyers.
The reforms support the Fit India Movement and aim to strengthen Yuva Shakti.
