Congress Calls Out BRS for Taking Credit on Jubilee Hills Development
Hyderabad: Telangana Congress spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin on Tuesday accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of misleading the public by claiming credit for Jubilee Hills development projects executed by the Congress government.
He said several civic works completed in the past two years were sanctioned under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s leadership. “It’s unfortunate that those who ignored the area for ten years are now posing before Congress-built projects,” Nizamuddin said.
Jubilee Hills development is part of Congress’s urban improvement plan, says TPCC
Referring to the new U-turn near Tolichowki, Nizamuddin said it was approved by the Congress to reduce congestion. “A BRS leader falsely claimed credit in a campaign video,” he noted.
He clarified that the current works were not linked to the ongoing by-election. “Development continues across the city under the Congress government. Ours is delivery, not drama,” he said.
Projects worth ₹300 crore, covering roads, drainage, and traffic improvement, had been taken up to transform Jubilee Hills, Nizamuddin said, emphasising transparency and efficiency.
He accused the BRS of “political desperation,” saying, “After years of inaction, they now want to steal our record. Their videos are proof of guilt.”
The TPCC spokesperson reiterated the Chief Minister’s assurance of inclusive development across Hyderabad and urged residents to verify political claims. “Ask who sanctioned the work. The truth will show who really delivered,” he said.
He concluded that Congress believes in tangible governance. “Our work is visible on the ground. The BRS can mimic our visuals but not our vision,” he said.
