Attapur police hold meeting with Imams ahead of Shab-e-Miraj
Hyderabad: Officials from Attapur Police Station held a coordination meeting with Imams and mosque caretakers ahead of Shab-e-Miraj to ensure a peaceful observance.
Police organised the meeting near Habeebia Masjid at Chinthal Mettu. Imams and caretakers from about 15 nearby mosques attended the discussion.
Police officials asked Imams to advise devotees against removing vehicle silencers. They also urged them to promote disciplined driving and discourage unnecessary noise during the celebrations. Officials said these steps would help maintain public order and reduce inconvenience to residents.
During the meeting, police stressed strict adherence to traffic rules and noise control norms throughout the religious observances. They requested Imams to cooperate by clearly communicating the guidelines to worshippers.
Officials said community coordination plays a crucial role in the smooth conduct of Shab-e-Miraj. Police added that they will continue holding such meetings ahead of major festivals to maintain harmony and law and order in the area.
