TSAS student protest continues over hospital infrastructure demands

TSAS student protest over hospital facilities

Hyderabad: The TSAS student protest continued on campus as students demanded urgent improvements in hospital infrastructure and medical facilities, while rejecting claims that the issue had been resolved.

In an official statement, TSAS said students remained united in their demand for basic safety and healthcare access. The group stressed that the protest was peaceful and disciplined, with participants seeking only necessary upgrades to medical infrastructure.

Students alleged that police entered the campus and used force, including abusive language and threats. They described such actions as unacceptable and accused authorities of attempting to suppress a peaceful movement. However, TSAS maintained that the protest would continue without disruption.

The statement also dismissed reports suggesting divisions among students. TSAS said all participants stood united and reiterated that the movement focused solely on securing improved hospital facilities.

TSAS student protest rejects resolution claims

The TSAS student protest further clarified that reports claiming the issue had been resolved were misleading. Students said their demands remained pending and no official assurance had been given so far.

In addition, TSAS denied reports that it had sought the resignation of the Vice Chancellor. The group stated that such claims were false and not part of its demands.

Students emphasised that their only demand was the establishment of proper hospital infrastructure and adequate medical facilities on campus. They added that the protest would continue until authorities provided clear assurances and initiated visible action.

TSAS reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful protest and said it would not be silenced by what it termed threats or misinformation.
