Top 172 EAPCET rankers skip Agriculture University counselling

Hyderabad: Prof Jayashankar Telangana State Agriculture University will start counselling for agriculture, horticulture and veterinary courses from rank 173, as the top 172 rankers of EAPCET-2025 skipped admissions.
Despite their eligibility for top seats, none of the top scorers applied. Officials said they may have chosen NEET or other professional courses. The counselling session is scheduled for Tuesday at the university auditorium.
This year, 11,000 candidates applied for admission. Counselling is held on the basis of EAPCET ranks across three universities.
Meanwhile, dual degree counselling began on Monday. The B.Sc. Agriculture program is jointly offered with Western Sydney University, Australia. Registrar Vidhyasagar gave the first allotment letter to student Akshaya Priya. Students will study for three years in Hyderabad and the final year in Sydney.
