Telangana heavy rains alert for next two days

Hyderabad: The Meteorological Department issued a Telangana heavy rains alert, warning that the state is likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall for the next two to three days.

Officials said a surface trough is influencing weather conditions across Telangana. As a result, several districts may witness gusty winds, thunderstorms, lightning, and even hailstorms in isolated areas. Authorities urged people to remain cautious as widespread rainfall activity is expected.

The Telangana heavy rains alert comes after unseasonal showers on Tuesday and Wednesday disrupted normal life and caused distress to farmers. Experts warned that continued rainfall could further damage standing crops.
