Telangana HC pulls up Kabaddi body over National Sports Code

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court has questioned the state Kabaddi Association for failing to implement the National Sports Code of 2011. Notices were issued during a PIL hearing on Monday.
The PIL was filed by coach C. Pavan Kumar Yadav, who argued that the association runs with part-time members and employees, contrary to the code. He sought directions to stop government aid for competitions and training.
A bench led by Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin heard the case. Additional Advocate General Imran Khan submitted that government involvement was minimal.
The bench ordered notices to the association and adjourned proceedings for four weeks.
