Hyderabad: Army and SDRF teams carried out Telangana flood rescues in Medak and Rajanna Sircilla districts on Thursday after torrential rains left people stranded in streams and near reservoirs.

Telangana flood rescues save stranded villagers, cattle grazers
In Papannapet mandal, floodwaters from the Manjeera river submerged the Ellapur bridge, cutting traffic and prompting police to block the route. Officials asked residents to avoid the crossing until the waters subsided.
In Rajanna Sircilla, five cattle grazers were trapped near the Upper Manair project. SDRF teams, supervised by the district Collector and SP, used drones to drop food packets. Evacuation efforts were in progress.
Officials urged residents to exercise caution and not risk crossing swollen streams as more rainfall was forecast.
