Hyderabad: Congress leader Sonia Gandhi congratulated Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for organising the Telangana Rising 2047 Global Summit and described it as an important step toward the state’s economic transformation.

She wrote to the Chief Minister and praised the government for pursuing a trillion-dollar economy. She said the summit shows a clear and confident vision for balanced and sustainable growth. Sonia Gandhi also noted that Telangana is following a structured three-tier development approach. She added that the next few years will play a crucial role as the state expands its economic base and strengthens key sectors.

The Telangana government will host the two-day global summit on December 8 and 9 at Maheshwaram and Murgalpally in Ranga Reddy district. The event aims to raise the state’s global profile and bring large-scale investments. It also seeks to build strong partnerships with national and international companies. Officials said the summit will focus on innovation, infrastructure, green growth, digital transformation, and high-skilled employment.

Telangana Rising 2047 modelled on Davos-style global summit

The government plans to conduct the summit on the lines of global platforms such as the World Economic Forum’s Davos meeting. It will feature sector-wise discussions, presentations and interactive sessions. These will highlight Telangana’s strengths in IT, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, agriculture and renewable energy. Industry bodies, global corporations and policy experts will join the discussions.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy asked senior officials to ensure the summit strengthens Telangana’s brand as an innovation-driven and investment-ready state. He said the government wants to use the discussions to shape long-term strategies under the 2047 vision.

Moreover, officials are preparing to showcase new policy initiatives that improve ease of doing business and modernise industrial infrastructure. They aim to attract investments in emerging sectors that can create large numbers of jobs in the coming decade.
