RTC MD reviewed child safety measures for Medaram devotees at Uppal bus stand
Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation Managing Director Y. Nagi Reddy inspected the special child safety arrangements made for Medaram devotees at the Uppal bus stand, officials said.
The RTC MD visited the VI safety centre set up at a special bus stop in Uppal to ensure the safety of children travelling with devotees to the Medaram Maha Jatara. During the visit, he reviewed the system of issuing identity tags to children and personally placed tags on a few children to assess the effectiveness of the measure.
He said the Medaram child safety arrangements would play a crucial role in preventing children from getting separated from their families during travel. He also instructed RTC officials to strengthen all arrangements so that devotees faced no inconvenience while travelling to the Jatara.

Passengers travelling to Medaram expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the RTC for the Jatara. Officials said the measures were designed to ensure safe and smooth travel, especially for families with children.
The inspection was attended by Suresh Kumar, Uppal Inspector K. Bhaskar, Administrative Sub-Inspector Madhava Reddy, and Sub-Inspectors Chiranjeevi and Vinay, along with other staff.
Authorities said such coordinated efforts by transport and police departments aimed to ensure safety and order during the peak Medaram pilgrimage season.
