Hyderabad: RTC bus overturns NH-44 in Jogulamba Gadwal district early Thursday, leaving 20 passengers injured, including four in critical condition, officials said.

The accident occurred at Itikyala Padu stage on National Highway 44 when the RTC bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Anantapur. According to initial reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to topple on the highway.

As a result, panic spread among passengers. Local residents and passing motorists rushed to the spot and alerted the police. Emergency teams reached the scene without delay and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Officials confirmed that 20 passengers sustained serious injuries. Of them, four remained in critical condition and were under close medical supervision.
