Pet Bashirabad police recover lost mobiles worth ₹17 lakh

Hyderabad: Police recovered 64 lost mobile phones worth ₹17 lakh within the limits of the Pet Bashirabad Police Station and returned them to their respective owners on Saturday, officials said.

The recovered mobile phones were handed over to complainants at the Pet Bashirabad police station after successful tracing through technical analysis based on registered complaints.

Speaking on the occasion, Medchal ACP Shankar Reddy said police utilised advanced technical tools to track the missing devices. He advised citizens to immediately lodge a complaint at the nearest police station if a mobile phone was lost.

Pet Bashirabad mobile recovery aided by CEIR portal

The ACP also urged the public to register lost mobile phone details on the Central Government’s CEIR portal, which helps law enforcement agencies block and trace stolen or misplaced devices effectively.

Pet Bashirabad Police Station SHO K. Vijaya Vardhan, DI D. Ajay Kumar, DSI Srinivas and other staff members were present during the handover of the recovered mobile phones. Officials said timely complaints and public cooperation played a key role in the successful recovery.
