Sajjanar: Police fully prepared; MCC in force for Jubilee Hills by-election

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar said police were fully prepared for the Jubilee Hills by-election and will ensure peaceful and transparent polling. He said voters would be able to cast their votes in a secure atmosphere.

He cautioned that any attempt to disturb law and order would invite strict action. With the issue of the schedule, he said the Model Code of Conduct is now in effect throughout the district.

Sajjanar directed political leaders, traders, and other notable licensed weapon holders to deposit their weapons at the nearest police stations. He added that citizens may report violations or suspicious activity by calling Dial 100 or 112. He said rowdy and history sheeters would remain under police surveillance during the by-election period.

Jubilee Hills by-election arrangements and voter, party instructions

District Election Returning Officer R. V. Karnan said district staff were fully prepared for polling on November 11. He stated that Jubilee Hills has 3,92,669 voters and that the Model Code of Conduct is in force with the schedule’s announcement.

Karnan warned political parties that cases would be registered for any violation of the Model Code of Conduct. He also said new voters in Jubilee Hills have 10 more days to enroll their names. He

The DEO informed that political posters and banners across the constituency will be removed. He said counting will take place on 14 November at the Potla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium in Yousufguda and appealed to officials for cooperation.
