PM Modi to open India Mobile Congress 2025 on October 8

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open India Mobile Congress 2025 on October 8 at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi. The four-day event runs through October 11 with the theme “Innovate to Transform.” Asia’s premier telecom and tech platform returns with bigger scale and clearer purpose.
Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia reviewed the venue. He traveled by Airport Metro from Shivaji Stadium to Dwarka. He toured halls, met startups and exhibitors, and chaired review meetings with DoT, COAI, and partner agencies. Moreover, he briefed the media on the event’s global reach and ambition.
India Mobile Congress 2025 to unite research, startups and investors
Numbers tell the story. IMC expects over 1.5 lakh visitors, more than 7,000 delegates, and 400 exhibitors from 150+ countries. Additionally, the show floor spans about 4.5 lakh square feet. Attendees will see 1,600+ new technology use-cases. They will also hear insights in 100+ sessions from 800+ speakers.
Focus areas are sharp. Organizers highlight 6G, cybersecurity, satellite communication, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and telecom manufacturing. Consequently, the programme blends frontier research with deployable solutions.
Six global summits anchor the week. The International Bharat 6G Symposium will feature the Bharat 6G Alliance and India-led research. The International AI Summit will track the impact of AI across networks and services. Furthermore, the Cyber Security Summit will emphasize protection for 1.2 billion telecom users. The Satcom Summit will examine satellite-based services and market growth. In addition, the IMC Aspire Programme will convene about 500 startups and 300 investors. Finally, the Global Startup World Cup – India Edition will see 15 finalists vie for a $1 million investment opportunity.
Scindia framed IMC as a pathway for technologies to scale. According to him, telecommunications is now the “highway and pathway” that connects AI, ML, IoT, and satcom with daily life. Therefore, India Mobile Congress 2025 becomes the place where policy meets product and investment meets impact.
India’s digital profile sets the context. The country counts 1.2 billion mobile subscribers and 970 million internet users. Notably, India recorded the fastest 5G rollout in the world, completed in just 22 months. As a result, the ecosystem is primed for advanced applications and local manufacturing.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate India Mobile Congress 2025 on October 8 at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony will underline self-reliance and global leadership. In the words Scindia used often, India can “design in India, solve in India, and scale in India.” IMC aims to prove it on the floor, session by session.
